During the past week, demand for Spanish rebar in Algeria - one of the main export markets of Spanish rebar producers - has remained weak. Meanwhile, Spanish rebar producers have received orders from US buyers and are continuing to focus on the US market.

The leaders of France and Germany are currently seeking to convince President Donald Trump to give a complete exemption to European Union countries from the 25 percent Section 232 tariff in the US. Spanish rebar producers are waiting to hear developments on this issue.

Under the current circumstances, Spanish rebar producers have kept their rebar export offers stable week on week at €490-500/mt ($598-610/mt) FOB.
