Spanish producers’ rebar export prices have declined by €5/mt week on week to €455-460/mt ($514-520/mt) FOB. Meanwhile, market sources report that Portuguese rebar export offers are in the range of €465-475/mt ($525-537/mt) FOB. It is observed that, despite the weakness of international rebar demand, Spanish rebar mills’ current price policy is not characterized by aggression due to the traditionally slow summer season and also because of their ongoing maintenance works.
On the other hand, domestic 12-32 mm rebar prices in Spain have moved down by €5/mt week on week to €470-480/mt ($531-542/mt) ex-works.
