Following the Christmas and New Year holidays, it is observed that some players in the Spanish rebar market as well as some international buyers have not yet returned to the market. Despite the falling trend of global scrap quotations and the weakness of demand received by Spanish rebar exporters, the latter have kept their rebar export offers stable week on week with the support provided by domestic rebar prices. As a result, Spanish rebar offers to the export markets are still at €470-480/mt ($545-557/mt) FOB.
