Demand for Spanish rebar in the international markets has remained at low levels over the past week. Finding it difficult to compete in the international markets, Spanish rebar producers have focused on the US market, though, as US buyers are maintaining a wait-and-see stance as regards imports, no demand for Spanish rebar has been observed in the US. Additionally, SteelOrbis has been informed that, influenced by the rises in global scrap quotations, Spanish rebar exporters have increased their offers by an average of €10/mt week on week to €480-490/mt ($547-559/mt) FOB.
