While buyers continue to exert pressure on global rebar prices, Spanish rebar producers have kept their export offers stable week on week at €455-460/mt ($514-520/mt) FOB. On the other hand, demand in Algeria - one of Spain’s most important rebar export markets - has been quiet in the current week.

Meanwhile, domestic 12-32 mm rebar prices in Spain are still in the range of €470-475/mt ($531-537/mt) ex-work, indicating a sideways movement week on week. SteelOrbis has been informed that some Spanish steel mills have started maintenance works which will last a few weeks.
