Demand in the local Spanish rebar market has revived over the past week with buyers preferring to purchase domestically produced rebar. Market sources state that, despite higher production costs resulting from the rises recorded in import scrap quotations, Spanish rebar producers have kept their domestic offers stable week on week, though some are planning to reflect the increased scrap costs in their rebar prices in the coming period. Domestic rebar prices in Spain are still at €500-510/mt ($570-581/mt) delivered to customer.
