SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that wire rod price levels in the Spanish domestic market have remained unchanged since last week and are still standing at €485-490/mt ($635-642/mt) delivered to customer.
In the meantime, Spanish export offers for mesh quality and drawing quailty wire rod have softened by €5/mt ($7/mt) since last week and are now standing at €465/mt ($609/mt) FOB and €480/mt ($629/mt) FOB respectively. Market players state that so far in September no improvement has been recorded in overall demand for Spanish wire rod.
