While Italian rebar exports to Algeria are still blocked due to the lack of an announcement concerning the release of rebar import licenses in this destination, trading activity in the local Italian rebar market is still very low. According to market sources, some Italian rebar producers have already lowered their offers to €410/mt ($443/mt) ex-works, after trying to obtain €420-430/mt levels in previous weeks. Currently, transaction prices in the local Italian rebar market are mostly in the range of €400-420/mt ($432-454/mt) ex-works.
