Slack demand for Turkish merchant bar in export markets

According to market sources, even though Turkish merchant bar export prices have decreased by $10/mt to the levels presented in the chart below during the past week, they are still above the price levels recorded two weeks ago. Market players state that demand in the market is currently sluggish because buyers in the Middle East consider the new price levels to be on the high side and also due to the approach of Ramadan.
