Silence continues to prevail in Greek rebar market

Tuesday, 13 March 2012 10:44:30 (GMT+3)   |

This week, local rebar prices in Greece are standing at €540-600/mt ($707-786/mt) on actual weight basis, for deliveries to customer and 15-day deferred or advance payments, exclusive of VAT. The price may be higher than this range for longer-term payment, while for small volume purchases it reaches €630/mt ($825/mt).

This week in the Greek domestic rebar market, most market players have maintained their cautious stance towards conclusion of new deals amid continuing economic instability as well as political uncertainty as the date for national elections is expected to be announced this week. Silence prevails in the Greek rebar market just like in previous weeks.

In addition, it is reported that this week there have not been any new rebar offers from Italy or Spain to Greece.
