According to sources, domestic rebar prices in Italy have trended sideways in the past week and are still in the range of €455-465/mt ($528-539/mt) ex-works. However, some local producers are trying to increase their prices to €470/mt ($545/mt) ex-works, while buyers keep asking for a price level of €450/mt ($522/mt) ex-works. Domestic rebar demand in Italy is still slack.

Concerning the export market, the reference price is €475/mt ($551/mt) FOB, but sales by sea are few and far between, while export activity to central and eastern Europe is decent.
