Shagang issues unchanged construction steel prices for late September

Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shagang Group has published its ex-mill prices for construction steel products, effective for September 21-30. The details are as follows (comparisons are with prices issued on September 11):

1. Rebar prices are unchanged. Thus, the price of 16-25 mm HRB 335 rebar is still RMB 4,530/mt ($677/mt) and the price of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar is still RMB 4,650/mt ($695/mt)

2. High speed wire rod prices also remain unchanged. As a result, the price of 6.5 mm Q235 common carbon high speed wire rod stays at RMB 4,550/mt ($680/mt).

3. Prices of rebar in coil remain unchanged. Thus, the price of 8 mm HRB 400 rebar in coil is still at RMB 4,650/mt ($695/mt).

All the above prices are ex-mill, include 17 percent tax and are effective from September 21.
