Saudi Arabia’s Hadeed has announced a third upward revision to its April delivery prices, as persistent cost-side pressures continue to reshape pricing strategies. Market participants indicate that ongoing disruptions linked to the war have tightened raw material availability, while elevated energy costs have further increased production expenses. Against this backdrop, the latest adjustment reflects mills’ efforts to preserve margins, with similar upward revisions also reported across the retail segment and among other domestic producers.
Following the latest increase, Hadeed has raised its rebar prices by SAR 80/mt and its wire rod/coil prices by SAR 140/mt. Accordingly, rebar prices have reached $704/mt (SAR 2,640/mt) CPT, compared to $683/mt (SAR 2,560/mt) CPT after the second revision. In parallel, wire rod prices have climbed to $701/mt (SAR 2,630/mt) CPT, up from $664/mt (SAR 2,490/mt) CPT previously.
Al Ittifaq Steel has announced a notable upward revision in its rebar pricing, increasing its level to $704/mt (SAR 2,640/mt) CPT from the previously reported $660/mt (SAR 2,480/mt) CPT, thereby bringing its pricing into alignment with Hadeed and underscoring the strengthening trend among key domestic producers.
At the same time, Al Yamamah Steel Industries has also moved upward, revising its rebar price to $693/mt (SAR 2,600/mt) CPT, compared to $670/mt (SAR 2,515/mt) CPT in its previous announcement, further reinforcing the overall firming momentum in the market.
Downstream, the upward momentum has also become increasingly evident, as retail prices have been adjusted up to higher levels in response to successive hikes by mills. Current trading indications are reported at $666-680/mt (SAR 2,500-2,550/mt) CPT, compared to earlier levels of $640-665/mt (SAR 2,400-2,500/mt) CPT.
