Rebar spot prices in Turkey have dropped by another TRY 20-50/mt today, March 24, to TRY 2,970-3,080/mt ex-warehouse for 12 mm products, with minor changes seen in prices on US dollar basis. Sources report that local traders in the Iskenderun and Karabuk regions have been granting larger discounts compared to other regions, aiming at some serious destocking.
Turkish mill Icdas has decreased its 12-32mm rebar price by another TRY 40/mt to TRY 3,160/mt ($410/mt) ex-works. Izmir Demir Celik is offering rebar to the local market at the same levels. Some Marmara-based mills are currently offering 12 mm rebar at around TRY 3,082/mt ($400/mt) ex-works for serious buyers, SteelOrbis has learned.
