Official rebar offers for cash payments in the Marmara and Izmir regions, including İçdaş's prices, have settled at $555-585/mt, versus $560-595/mt ex-works on December 18, while acceptable prices are at $550-580/mt ex-works, down by $5/mt over the same period. Producers in the Marmara region are offering for late January delivery.
Sources say several Iskenderun-based rolling mills are offering rebar to serious buyers today at TRY 28,500/mt ($555/mt) ex-warehouse, indicating a decrease of $1/mt on US dollar basis and unchanged in the local currency compared to December 18.
