SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that Spanish rebar offers to Portugal have softened by €5/mt ($6/mt) as compared to early this week, declining to €530/mt ($668/mt) on actual weight basis, for deliveries to customer and for 60-day deferred payments.

Witnessing very weak demand for quite a while now, the Portuguese rebar market is still suffering from the economic crisis in the euro zone and tight liquidity. Regarding new rebar purchases, buyers are still trying to avoid taking risks.
