SteelOrbis has been informed that the local price of medium size rebar in the Italian market is currently at €415-465/mt ($570-639/mt) ex-works on actual weight and open account basis. The base prices for rebar in the Italian domestic market are at around €200/mt ($275/mt).

Different price levels can be seen depending on whether purchases are for small or large tonnages. Considering large-tonnage purchases to be risky, local Italian traders have been keeping their stocks at low levels.
