The price level of imported rebar in the UAE market is at around AED 5,300/mt ($1,443/mt) delivered to site on a theoretical weight basis for three-to-four month deferred payment, excluding VAT.

The local prices in the UAE continue to go up further. On the other hand, the latest deals from Turkey have been concluded at the price level of $1,350-1,360/mt CFR on a theoretical weight basis. The exporting volume from Saudi Arabia and Qatar is not at high level due to the fact that these countries' local market demand is fairly strong.
