The last rebar offer received from China by Brazilian importers was priced at $545/mt, against $555/mt one month ago, referring to CFR conditions, in a port in the south or southeast coast of Brazil, and the QC/HRB400 grade.

In May, Brazil imported 6,500 mt of rebar from Turkey, at $523/mt, FOB conditions.

A distributor in Rio de Janeiro is selling rebar in very small volumes in the domestic market at BRL 4,592/mt ($1,202/mt), against BRL 3,916/mt one month ago, full taxes and delivered to customer. Such price, with reference to the CA-50 grade and 10mm diameter, can receive substantial discounts in case of large volumes or direct sales by the steel producers.

USD = BRL 3.82 (June 26)
