According to market sources, Qatari steelmaker Qatar Steel has increased its rebar offers for December production by QAR 80/mt ($22/mt) compared to its price levels for November production to QAR 1,480/mt ($407/mt) ex-works. Market sources state that the rise in Qatar Steel's rebar prices is higher than expected as a reflection of very lively demand conditions and due to the lack of pressure on the Qatar-based producer to conclude sales.
