Qatar Steel hikes its rebar prices for April

SteelOrbis has been informed that Qatari steel producer Qatar Steel has increased its April production rebar prices by QAR 50/mt ($14/mt) as compared to March output prices to QAR 2,375/mt ($652/mt) delivered. Qatar Steel had been expected to raise its prices as UAE-based mill ESI had revised its prices upward last month.
 
On the other hand, ESI will likely maintain its rebar prices at the current level of AED 2,410/mt ($657/mt) ex-works for April production. It had been expected to announce its new prices last week, but delayed its announcement and is now expected to issue them in the current week.
