During the past week, Turkish wire rod producers’ domestic sales have increased slightly, while their sales to the African market have also continued. The downward pressure on global wire rod prices has negatively influenced both Turkey’s domestic and export offers. Due to the sluggishness in Turkey’s construction sector, demand particularly for SAE 1006 grade wire rod is quite low. Meanwhile, domestic prices in Turkey for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod have remained stable during the past week.
