It is observed that demand in the local Spanish rebar market has remained at low levels over the past week. Market sources state that, following the filling of the EU safeguard quota on rebar imports, the downward pressure on domestic rebar prices caused by imports has subsided, and so prices in the local Spanish rebar market have remained stable despite the weakness of demand. Accordingly, domestic rebar prices in Spain have moved sideways week on week at €510-520/mt ($581-593/mt) delivered to customer.
