Prices decrease further in local Turkish wire rod market

SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that local producers’ price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.  

Over the past two weeks, demand in the local Turkish wire rod market has remained slack. While buyers have adopted a wait-and-see stance due to the economic problems in domestic steel-related sectors, especially the construction sector; producers have decreased their prices in the past two consecutive weeks amid the declines in import scrap prices.
