According to market sources, rebar prices in the local Turkish market have been revised upwards in some regions on the back of the increased strength of the dollar versus the Turkish lira. However, the overall transaction volume is still on the weak side. Meanwhile, there has been no demand for Kardemir's domestic rebar sales which were opened on August 26, while another Turkish steel producer Icdas has been selling rebar below its list prices due to poor demand.
