SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that in the local Turkish market merchant bar prices depending on size, thickness and region are at the following levels: small IPN-UPN are priced at TRY 1,310-1,400/mt ($596-636/mt), angles are at TRY 1,310-1,400/mt ($596-636/mt), while flat bars are at TRY 1,320-1,430/mt ($600-650/mt). All prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT. Also, it should be considered that some mills may give offers below these levels depending on their stocks.

Although market sources have reported increased transaction activity in the Turkish domestic merchant bar market today, March 26, the significant price gaps between different regions within the domestic market is causing buyers to remain cautious.
