Offers decline for Brazilian rebar exports to South American countries

The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports is $850/mt, against $900/mt one month ago, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.

In June, Brazil exported 26,800 mt of rebar and had no imports of the product, against respectively 40,100 mt and 8,800 mt in June.

The exports in June were all destined to South American countries, in average at $878/mt, against $809/mt in May, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in April.

The exporters in June were ArcelorMittal (16,800 mt at $871/mt), Gerdau (7,800 mt at $891/mt) and Aço Cearense (2,200 mt at $886/mt)

In the Brazilian domestic market, rebar is offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BRL 5,800/mt ($1,082/mt), against BRL 6,000/mt one month ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
