The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports is now $815/mt, against $830/mt one month ago, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In July, Brazil exported 33,500 mt of rebar, against 29,200 mt in June.
The exports in July were all destined to South American countries, of which 20,000 mt at $757/mt by ArcelorMittal, 13,400 mt at $725/mt by Gerdau and 100 mt at $680/mt by Simec, all FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebars are offered by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 5,500/mt ($1,107/mt), against BRL 5,650/mt one month ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
