Nucor raises wire rod prices again

In a letter to customers today, Nucor said it will raise prices for all wire rod products by $1.00 cwt. ($20/nt or $22/mt), effective with new orders.

Current US domestic wire rod prices (not including this increase) are $33.25-$33.75 cwt. ($665-$675/nt or $733-$744/mt) ex-mill.

The current spot price also does not include the $2.25 cwt. ($45/nt or $50/mt) price increase for wire rod that was set to take effect with shipments as of Feb. 1.
