NSSC to hike SS wire rod prices by Yen 90,000

Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Corporation (NSSC), Japan's largest stainless steel producer, announced base price increase of Yen 90,000/mt ($769/mt) for its nickel series stainless wire rod products for September orders or October shipments. The prices have been increased due to rising nickel prices, the company stated. NSSC has also hiked the prices of chrome series stainless steel wire rod by Yen 10,000 ($85) to offset rising raw material costs and freight rates.
