No significant change in local Turkish wire rod market

SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that local producers’ price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes. 

During the past week, no significant change has been seen in the local Turkish wire rod market as Turkish mills have continued to receive demand from their domestic market with their prices remaining stable week on week. Despite the rises seen in import scrap prices in Turkey in this period, Turkish wire rod producers have already received quite a lot of orders, which has allowed them to keep their domestic wire rod prices unchanged over the given week. On the other hand, they have concluded actual transactions at the lower end of the price ranges shared in the table above.
