The price of domestic Mexican wire rod fell a negligible amount in the last month, by only US$1/mt to reach $698/mt ex-mill.

Virtually unchanged in price, sources tell SteelOrbis that the wire rod market seems to have good prospects this year, as builders in the central state of Puebla are planning to build 15,000 residential units, which should result in an economic income of 9 billion Mexican pesos (US$642 million) for the region and require up to 50,000 jobs.
