Merchant bar prices in the local Spanish market have been maintaining their downtrend without showing signs of deceleration. It is heard that there are serious difficulties relating to demand in this market and that the producers may cut back on their production.

Merchant bar prices in the local Spanish market depending on size, thickness, regions, and also on the fact that some producers may sell at lower levels than the mills' prices in order to melt their stocks, have this week been at the following levels:

Angles:

40-50-60 mm

€600-620/mt ($813-840/mt)

100 x 100 x 10 mm

€625/mt ($847/mt)

Squares:

10-25 mm

 €580/mt ($786/mt)

IPN-UPN:

80 mm

 €680/mt ($921/mt)

100-160 mm

 €660/mt ($894/mt)

IPE:

80 mm

  €700/mt ($949/mt)

100-180 mm

  €720/mt ($976/mt)

All prices are delivered to customer, excluding VAT, on actual weight basis and for 15-30 day deferred payment.
