Turkish domestic official wire rod prices have moved sideways over the past week amid sluggish demand and currency fluctuations. Most suppliers are offering for January delivery, while a limited tonnage is available for late December delivery.

One Iskenderun-based mill has kept its wire rod price at $880/mt ex-works since Tuesday, October 26, for end of January-February deliveries. According to market sources, additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers. Turkish suppliers are expected to revise their wire rod prices in line with the import scrap price trend in the short term.
