Turkish domestic wire rod prices have mainly moved up by $10/mt, while the wire rod price in Iskenderun has settled at $730/mt, up by $10/mt on average as one Iskenderun-based mill, which had been offering for June delivery, has stopped quoting its wire rod price. The general wire rod price range in the Iskenderun region was at $715-725/mt ex-works on Tuesday, April 27. Most Turkish mills are offering for July production, while limited tonnages of some sizes are available from stocks. The general sentiment in the market is positive due to stronger scrap prices in the last couple of import deals.
