Local Turkish wire rod prices increase slightly

Wire rod prices in Turkey have risen by $5-10/mt over the past week due to the firm import scrap prices and ongoing export deliveries.

An Iskenderun-based mill has returned to the market. Currently, Turkish mills are mainly offering for December delivery. In addition, limited availability of sizes remains a long-standing issue for wire rod buyers.

Currently, the local offers for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude 18 percent VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.
