Today, December 18, Turkish domestic wire rod prices have risen by another $15-40/mt from Wednesday, December 16, amid stronger import scrap prices. “Local finished product demand has slowed down due to the consistent price hikes and some buyers are only checking the price. On the finished product export side, most buyers are on hold for new purchases amid the coming holiday season,” one source mentioned.
