Although trading activity is sluggish in the local Turkish wire rod market ahead of the end-of-Ramadan holiday, buyers are continuing to make purchases instead of waiting until after the holiday as they are finding it difficult to meet their needs due to tight supply. Meanwhile, domestic wire rod prices have moved up slightly in some regions, supported by the price upticks in recent scrap deals and by the uptrend of rebar prices.
