Today, August 3,Turkish domestic rebar spot prices in the local currency have decreased by TRY 60-90/mt ($12-15/mt) due to the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment and on the demand side against the backdrop of currency fluctuations. The exchange rate was at $1 = TRY 8.35 yesterday and is currently at $1 = TRY 8.42. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 6,870-6,930/mt or $691-697/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has kept its rebar price at $710/mt ex-works today.
It is worth mentioning that a very small rebar lot was traded at $700/mt ex-works in the Marmara region today, while another small rebar lot has also rumored been at $690/mt ex-works in the Izmir region today, without any tonnage details available by the time of publication.
