Today, July 22, official wire rod prices in Turkey have risen by $5/mt in the Marmara and Izmir regions, while remaining unchanged in the rest of the country against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and the recent positive sentiment in the Chinese steel futures market, as compared to Wednesday, July 16.
According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey are at around $545-560/mt ex-works, also up by $5/mt over the same period, for cash payment and for serious buyers only.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its official wire rod price at $585/mt ex-works today. Additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers.
