Turkish merchant bar producers have kept their prices stable in the Iskenderun region in the local currency, with only a $1/mt decrease week on week on US dollar basis. In addition, merchant bar prices in the rest of the country have decreased by TRY 50-100/mt ($3-4/mt) week on week. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 25,200/mt ($609/mt) ex-works today, September 23.
Most merchant bar sellers are still offering either for deliveries in October or from stocks, depending on the size.
Most buyers are in wait-and-see mode due to the ongoing currency fluctuations.
