Over the past week, Turkish merchant bar producers kept their domestic prices stable in the local currency with only a drop of $2/mt on US dollar basis against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations. One Iskenderun-based mill issued its equal angle price at TRY 26,000/mt ($609/mt) ex-works yesterday, December 15, and closed its merchant bar sales today.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late January-February or from stocks, depending on the size.
Most local buyers are only purchasing in line with their daily needs so far.
