According to market sources, domestic rebar prices in the Italian market have not yet halted their decreasing trend. Due to very low demand, domestic producers' local prices have declined further in the past week, from €480/mt to the current range of €470-480/mt ($578-590/mt), both ex-works. Meanwhile, due to the persisting lack of demand in Algeria, Italian producers are still offering rebar for export to the US and have recently managed to close some sales to this destination at €480-490/mt ($590-603/mt) FOB.
