Having considered Chinese wire rod quotations to be on the high side for some time now, buyers in the global market have turned to Turkish suppliers, and so demand for Turkish wire rod in the global market is currently lively.

Meanwhile, buyers in the US consider domestic wire rod prices to be on the high side and find Turkish steel mills' offers more attractive. Hence, Turkish wire rod sales to the US are continuing.

Under these circumstances, with relatively full order books Turkish wire rod producers have increased their export offers for May output by $25/mt week on week to $480-500/mt FOB.
