Latest situation in Turkish welding quality wire rod market

SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that S1 grade welding quality wire rod prices in the Turkish domestic market have decreased by $5/mt on the lower end over the past week to $415-450/mt, while local offers for SG2 grade welding quality wire rod have declined by $20/mt in the same period to $480-520/mt, both ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT and for December shipment. Market players state that demand has declined slightly over the past week and is at medium levels. Moreover, buyers are more interested in import welding quality wire rod, offers of which are below the prices of locally produced products.
