According to sources, local producers' domestic rebar prices in Italy are currently at €380-390/mt ($407-417/mt) ex-works, indicating a slight decline of €5/mt on the lower end compared to last week. In the same period, demand in the local Italian rebar market has remained weak.

However, market sources say that rumors of an imminent resumption of rebar exports to Algeria are gaining momentum day by day. Such a resumption depends on the release of rebar import licenses in Algeria, which Italian rebar producers have been awaiting since the beginning of the current year.
