Latest situation in local Italian rebar market

Thanks to the good order volumes they secured from the export markets, Italian rebar producers have been able to increase domestic prices from €470/mt to €480-490/mt (542-554$/mt) ex-works in the past week, also thanks to the ongoing recovery of local scrap prices. According to market sources, at least one producer is now offering at slightly higher prices, so the market price level could increase further in the coming days.
