The local Italian rebar market is still under pressure. As sales volumes are very low, domestic rebar prices have decreased by €5-10/mt in the past week to €360/mt ($403/mt) ex-works. Meanwhile, there is still no news concerning the release of rebar import licenses in Algeria. As a result, Italian rebar producers continue to struggle given the absence of their most important export market.
