Domestic rebar prices have decreased further in Italy in the past week. After falling to the level of €510/mt one week ago, local prices have now decreased to €500/mt ($620/mt) ex-works. Demand is weak both in the domestic market and in Algeria - the main export market for Italian producers. Consequently, Italian producers are closing sales to the US and Canada in a price range of €480-485/mt ($595-601/mt) FOB.
