Italian wire rod suppliers suffer from low demand

SteelOrbis has learned that in the Italian domestic market drawing quality wire rod offers are standing at €520-525/mt ($655-661/mt) for deliveries to customer, exclusive of VAT, while mesh quality wire rod offers are at €510-515/mt ($643-649/mt), though no transaction has been reported so far.
 
On the export side, Italian suppliers are offering mesh quality wire rod to export markets at €510/mt FOB. However, wire rod demand in Italian suppliers' export markets is almost nonexistent, since Algerian buyers currently have very large inventories.
